“Leather On Wall”

“It hangs still on the wall that leather belt
Ingrained with tales both good and bad
A life held up and taken down
Loved and yet feared
Emotions oiled tanned memories
Eyes fixated trembling to its unbuckle
Gliding viper thru worsted hoops
Doubled over and swished with fire
Dealt with and placed upon the wall
That leather strap has much to tell”

  1. I love that you think & write about the history of an object & give it so much presence & past…”gliding viper thru worsted hoops” “eyes fixated trembling to it’s unbuckle”
cautious, deep, sexual, tense & thoughtful all at the same time. Great work Mitch,
you give this so much life!! Bravo 🙂
