Sometimes hunting down street art throws up the unexpected… On my way back to Hackney Wick Station having spent the day snapping street art in East London.  I spotted the well-respected street art photographer & street art tour guide guru Dave Stuart. Always a pleasure talking to Dave and I hope he likes my snap collage of the day! Well worth checking out Dave’s websites below.

dscf1789eApart from Tito above…… Only one of the four photos below that I took in Velenje, Slovenia have not been collaged. Can you guess the odd one out?

velenje1Mens loo inside the Lucifer Cafe.

Not your average street sign.

Tito would not be amused at this subway in town.

The Last Artist by Allysha Webber

The above beautiful  award winning short film” The Last Artist” ~ Written, directed and produced by Allysha Webber ~ Animation & Artwork by MotionLab ~ Narrated by Francis Edwards.

Extremely captivating so please view and enjoy it yourselves as much as I did. The film led me to show you a snap I took of an iconic mural designed by Kenson Seto, and painted by Alex Li and Falk in China Town, Vancouver. The “Lao Tsu  Mural”  This lovely mural will be lost forever owing to a new  building being built onto the wall. http://www.vancitybuzz.com/2015/03/city-green-lights-chinatown-development-blocking-iconic-mural/

The mural has the written translation of  Chinese philosopher Lao Tsu ~ “It takes knowledge to understand others, but it needs a clear mind to know oneself. It takes strength to surpass others, but it requires a strong will to surpass oneself.”
